ANCASTER KARTING

Ancaster Karting provides a stunning venue for outdoor karting, buggies and paintball. Based in Lincolnshire we're just a few minutes from the A1 at Grantham, 30 miles east of Nottingham and just 15 miles from Newark and Lincoln.

Our unique 1200 metre outdoor circuit creates two individual circuits that will challenge every skill level and provide safe, enjoyable competition. For AKR members there are another 4 circuits available.

Karts are 270cc Honda engined machines capable of up to 50 mph and maintained to the highest possible standards.

A BBQ can can be provided and refreshments are always available on site.

Ancaster Karting and Paintball based in Lincolnshire is a family run business first established by Les and Deanne Johnson as a means to diversify from their farming business. Les has been racing since 1985 and to this day he and his son's are still passionately involved in Motor Sport, so what better way to use the land than for Outdoor Karting!

The karting track first opened in November 1991 with a 300 metre outdoor karting circuit using twelve 160cc swift karts, but within six months it had proved so popular that the circuit was doubled to 600 metres. The good publicity and word of mouth continued, and there just weren't enough hours in the day to deal with the volume of customers, so the next step was to build a flood-lit track for evening race meetings.

In 2002 the track was again increased to 1200 metres enabling the track to be used in four different ways (corporate, practice, flood-lit and full circuit). A new club house with Bowling Alley, Amusements, Cafe, larger briefing room and reception, along with a full size podium is under construction.

At Ancaster we keep the karts up to date with a new fleet of 270cc Biz Karts. Richard Johnson - Director takes pride in the task of keeping the new fleet in peak condition.
