Karting F.A.Q
What is the minimum age?
A: for all arrive and drive sessions there is a minimum age of 10 years. For all events all participants must be 16 years or over.
What is the minumum height for karting?
A: the minimum height for karting is 4’7”
Does my son/daughter need to meet both minimum height and minumum age requirements?
A: Yes all children need to be both a minimum age of 10 and a minimum height of 4’7”
What happens if its raining?
A: We run in all weather conditions, it is recommended that you bring a spare change of clothes for after your session if needed.
Do you provide waterproof suits?
A: Our race suits are not waterproof so we do advise to bring a towel and a spare change of clothes.
Do I need to leave a deposit when I book?
A: Yes we do require a £20.00 non-refundable deposit per person on booking.
What happens if someone doesn’t turn up for my event?
A: If you are over the minimum number needed to run the event then you will just lose £20.00 per person that doesn’t turn up, If you fall below the minimum number for the event we will require full payment for the minimum number. (We do advise the organiser collects money from the participants prior to the booking date)
Is equipment provided?
A: Yes we provide overalls, helmet and gloves
Can I wear my own helmet and overalls?
A: you can wear you own helmet if it a full faced helmet with a visor (motocross are not permitted) overalls can be worn if they are one piece and have no loose items hanging from them.
What happens if I need to change the date of my event?
A: We are able to move the date of your booking once with a minimum of one weeks notice, anything under one week cannot be moved.
What happens if my event gets cancelled?
A: If we need to cancel a booking due to severe Weather conditions then we will contact you at least 3 hours before your booking.
Do you need a licence or experience
A: No driving or racing licence is required, It doesn’t matter if you have never driven a kart or if you are a racing enthusiast.
Is there a minimum height/ weight requirement?
A: People over 6’5” will struggle with there knees being up around the steering wheel. There is a maximum weight on the karts of 22 stone, however people under that weight may struggle as it generally depends on shape more than weight. If you are unsure we do recommend that you come down to us before the booking date and test to save any disappointment on the day.
Can adult and junior karts go out at the same time?
A: Yes both adult and junior karts are able to go on circuit together, all our sessions are fully supervised and any drivers deemed unsafe will removed from the circuit.
If I book an event will there be other groups with us?
A: all our karting events are private so the only people competing will be who you invite.
How long before I’m booked in should I arrive?
A: all people participating need to arrive onsite atleast 15 minutes in advance.
Do you get lap times?
A: Yes our circuit is fitted with lap recording equipment which is running on all arrive and drive sessions.
Can the Stag/hen/birthday girl or boy wear fancy dress?
A: Yes fancy dress can be worn over the top of your overalls if there are no loose items hanging that can get caught in moving parts.
Can we put stickers/ labels/ badges on our overalls and helmets?
A: No we do not allow things to be attached to our equipment.
Is there somewhere to get food or drink while we are there?
A: Yes we have a café and fully licensed bar onsite along with sweet and drink machines.
